Gotcha Theology

BOO!
Keep talking, Reverend Wright. Keep talking.
I watched his one man show at the the National Press Club and got to thinking. This guy is little more than a cult leader.
I blogged about cults before. I really detest cult leaders. Inside they've got something going on and they feel a sense of self-liberation by exerting influence over their followers.
Jeremiah Wright uses doublethink as a technique of persuasion. He vilifies the US government and simultaneously espouses and promotes far-left politics - the the kind that wants the government to have more power over individuals.
Wright claims to bear the torch of liberation theology. But promoting a socialist agenda is hardly liberation and has little to do with theology. People on the religious left distort the teachings of Christ and greatly diminish his influence and importance. On the other hand leftist politics and Wright's brand of Christianity are both entities that require one to submit to the power of others.
Cult leaders are also most often guilty of what they allege against others; whether it's oppression, trickery or some paranoid conspiratory behavior.
I'm not really sure that Barack Hussein Obama really buys into the nonsense his pastor has been spewing forth all these years. Obama probably joined the Trinity United Church of Christ and used Wright's influence for his own political expediency. One can't really have much street cred as a community organizer in an urban black community without the blessings of the same community's prominent clergy.
Obama has recently made some limp attempts at distancing himself from Wright, the same man that mentored, endorsed and promoted Obama in his political aspirations. Maybe Reverend Wright feels used and now discarded by Obama and is mugging for cameras and microphones all over the place in order to exact revenge.
Are Barry's chickens coming home to roost?
And another thing...
It appears as thought Newt Gingrich sees the situation about the same way as I.
Saying that Wright "went out of his way to weaken Obama" during Monday's address at the National Press Club, Gingrich told Barbara Walters "I think Reverend Wright has a greater interest in his self-importance."
